TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal
The COVID-19 epidemic has brought a new standard to the lives of many people. TOTO uses its technology to aid users in navigating the New Normal.
Kaisen, or "perfection" is a social concept that drives the Japanese company Toto. Their latest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET is equipped with advanced sensing technology to aid in the health of consumers.
Water Sense Technology
WaterSense-labeled plumbing fixtures are EPA-approved and help conserve energy and water while delivering the most reliable, safe and secure performance. TOTO USA is proud to be among the first companies to earn the WaterSense label for our EcoPower flush valves and commercial flushometer toilets.
Our Aquia IV dual-flush toilet is an excellent example of a high-efficiency bathroom fixture. It consumes just 1.28 Gallons of water per flush. This is less than 1.6 grams required to meet EPA standards. The Aquia IV also features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology that reduces the frequency of cleaning bowls and to-topia the need for additional flushes further decreasing its environmental footprint.
Installing a low-flowing showerhead can reduce the amount of water you need for washing or bathing. Our high-efficiency showerheads are WaterSense rated and feature the modern technology to provide superior performance and ease of use.
Limiting water usage is essential in a world with frequent water shortages. TOTO's EcoPower Technology, which is used in the Aquia IV and NEXUS toilets, helps reduce the use of water by using only 1.28 gallons of water per flush.
TOTO's elongated WCs are also EPA approved for high efficiency. The elongated toilets have the option of a round basin or an elongated one and an ADA-compliant 17-19" height. We also offer a compact, elongated toilet that is ideal for small spaces and consumes just 0.9 grams of water per flush.
TOTO's bidet wands are among the most sought-after by the industry for both office and home use. They're not just a cheap alternative to toilet paper but they are also more effective, as they offer a full body wash that leaves you feeling refreshed and confident. The NEXUS toilet features our EWATER+ technology, which is made by electrolyzing tap water to produce a solution of sodium chloride ions and hypochlorous acid. This creates a powerful disinfectant that kills viruses, bacteria and other pathogens while leaving your skin and the environment unaffected.
ADA Compliant
If you are searching for an ADA compatible integrated toilet and bidet+ unit you might come across terms like "universal height" and "ADA compliant." While there is a relationship between the two, it is important to know that not all universal height toilets are ADA compliant and vice versa.
The ADA standards, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are designed to be inclusive of all ages and abilities. This includes those with limited mobility and lower body strength. By including these standards into their products, Toto ensures that their customers will have the bathroom experience they desire with the added benefit of convenience of use.
TOTO's ADA compliant toilets come with one-piece designs that instantly enhance any bathroom while providing a functional advantage over traditional two-piece models. TOTO's one piece designs make cleaning easier by eliminating the gap between bowl and tank. TOTO's Eco UltraMax toilets also come with high-efficiency flushing system that is water-efficient. They are water-efficient and use 1.28 Gallons per Flush (GPF) or less.
One-Piece and Two-Piece Designs
Many who have traveled to Japan have praised the ease and effectiveness of the Toto toilets they have used. Toto toilets are Japanese brands that feature a one-piece design integrating the tank and bowl. These toilets are simple to clean and can fit into small spaces. They are also durable and will last for a long time.
The group Toto was formed in the early 1970s after members performed session work for a variety of famous musicians. Keyboardist David Paich and drummers Steve Lukather and Jeff Porcaro as well as bassist Joseph Williams were all regular contributors to albums of Steely Dan[73 Seals and Crofts[74], Boz Scaggs[75], and Sonny and Cher.
A few of the band members have done solo work, as well. Vocalist Bobby Kimball released a album called From the Inside in 1978. guitarist Steve Lukather a second LP titled Luke, and keyboardists David Paich and Joe Porcaro recorded an album with jazz pianist Miles Davis.
Toto as well as their music, has performed a lot of touring throughout the years. In February of 2018 they released their 40 Trips Around The Sun anniversary album and embarked upon a world tour to promote it.
Central to TOTO's Total Design principle is taking into consideration the needs of everyone of all abilities and ages. Universal Height toilets are available to those with limited mobility. The WASHLET+ line of bidets has completely changed the experience of using the toilet from wiping to a flow of water. This is a superior alternative to paper towels, and a lot of people are making the switch.
Noise Reduction
In the United States, bathrooms are often located near bedrooms, so toilets that keep noise to a minimum are well-liked. And TOTO has found a way to do that with its Washlet, an electric bidet seat. By combining a slim rimless bowl that requires less water, and powerful sprays of warm air that cleans and dries the skin TOTO's toilets have been described as "magical."
The humble toilet is highly valued in Japan which is one of the countries that is devoted to its technological advancements. The Toilet Museum in Japan, which debuted in 1998, blends these characteristics to encourage people to rethink their bathroom habits. A toilet motorbike powered by poop, and other humorous exhibits are meant to highlight the message of the museum that TOTO products are not just efficient but also eco-friendly.
The museum also features TOTO's innovation history, from the first flush all the way to the aeration toilet that makes use of less water and reduces waste by 90 percent. There's also a room that includes the company's Washlet that uses the power of water to wash and dry the user, while concealing the sounds of a toilet with the sound of birds chirping.
Before the formation of Toto members, such as bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro performed on albums by famous artists such as Steely Dan Seals and Crofts Boz Scaggs and Sonny and Cher. David Paich, the keyboardist was a regular session musician for artists such as the Eagles, Larry Carlton and Quincy Jones.
In the years that followed Toto's debut album, the band struggled to find success and endured a series of member changes. Eventually, Hungate left the band in 1980 to pursue an independent career in Nashville. His departure was due to an inability to spend time with his family and a rising drug addiction. The band's success was dependent on Lukather and Steve Porcaro.
Comfort
TOTO toilets have been designed with comfort in the forefront. They are equipped with many features that make bathroom use more enjoyable. They include heated seats, for instance, which keeps the user warm. They also have lids that are automatic that open and close for added convenience. Additionally, they feature self-cleaning technology to keep the toilet clean and fresh.
When looking for a TOTO toilet, it is important to know what you should look for. There are many models to choose from, therefore it is essential to choose one that has all the features you require. To do this, you'll need to be aware of the model number and the SKU of the toilet. This information is available on the packaging of the product or online.
Before forming Toto members of the group performed as session musicians for a variety of popular musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, guitarist Steve Lukather, bassist David Hungate and drummer Jeff Porcaro had been regular contributors to albums of Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, and Sonny and Cher. In 1980 they formed Toto together with singer/songwriter Joseph Williams.
The band began touring extensively after the release Toto IV. In 1985, vocalist Fergie Frederiksen was dismissed because she was said to have a difficult time meshing with the rest of the group. Toto released Fahrenheit in 1986, the year following the release of Fahrenheit.
The album was a musical departure for the band, mixing elements of gospel and jazz. It was not an overnight success in North America, but did well in Japan. In 1987, Toto continued their tour and played at the Montreux Jazz Festival. During this time the bassist David Hungate quit the band to concentrate on his session and production career. Steve Lukather, a guitarist/vocalist, replaced him.
